Let’s pause in the midst of the busyness of the holiday season and recognize the gift of creating space for ourselves. Let’s de-stress and rejuvenate in a nurturing, peaceful, and supportive environment based in the wisdom and compassion of mindfulness. Join us for an afternoon of mindfulness practice (sitting, lying down, gentle movement, walking), and an opportunity for reflection, self-care, and sharing.

No previous experience with mindfulness meditation is required.

Fee: $75.00
Class size: 8 participants
Provided: Padded chairs, yoga mats, meditation benches, and tea.

Please bring: Water bottle, and anything else you might like for warmth and comfort.

Being Bodies:
Making Friends with Ourselves

Saturday, September 29, 2018
10:00am–3:00pm

Instructors: Jennifer Keane and Vicki Herman

It's easy to feel like there is something wrong with our bodies, and ourselves. Rather than being at war—impatient, critical and punishing—join us in a radical act of body positivity, where we will spend this day befriending ourselves, cultivating curiosity, kindness, and acceptance. Through a series of mindfulness practices (sitting, lying down, gentle movement, walking, and eating) and opportunity for reflection, participants will learn to listen to and take care of their bodies. No previous experience with mindfulness mediation required.

Fee: $100
Class size: 8 participants
Provided: Padded chairs, yoga mats, meditation benches and tea.

Please bring: Lunch (that doesn't need heating), water bottle, clothing for optional walking outdoors, and anything else you might like for warmth and comfort.
